all quiet on the western front (blog 3)
In my book the main character has just recieved new recruits to the area, because of the loss, and because they are soon to be bombarded. Then in the next chapter they experience there first bombardment. Many of the recruits are very scared. I think that this is the rising action because the author just starts talking about how they are fighting. Plus the author wouldn't make this the climax because this is just chapter four, and the battle didn't last very long. This is an important chapter because most of the book is about battles that went on during WWII. Therefore the author explains the first battle now, in this chapter.

all quiet on the western front (blog 3)
In this second chapter the main character Paul starts to think about how, horrible war really is. One of Paul's comrades Kimmerick is on the verge of death, and Paul tries to get a doctor for him. But when he arrives Kimmerick has already passed and been moved, so his bed is taken by another soldier. I think this is important to Paul because Kimmerick is a good example for paul to understand what is going on. Paul realizes how many deaths happen everyday during war, and his emotionally scarred. He also briefly talks about how young men that go through this, will remember how awful it is through out there life. As oppose to someone older who will not have to remember those awful things that went on, as long as a younger soldier.

all quiet on the western front (blog 2)
In the first chapter the main character Paul Braumer talks about how he works with 4 nineteen year old men that have enlisted themselves into the german army. After a battle the men find out that the cook has made enough food for 150 men, and because they have just come back from a battle they have lost a good amount of people, so everyone gets more food and tobacco. I think it is interesting how the men are given 20 cigarrettes each, and a tin. So now they all get even more then that.

All Quiet on the Wester Front (1st blog)
All Quiet on the Western Front is a book about World War I. It is written by Erich Maria Remarque who is German. This book is about how a man enlists himself with his class into the German army and how they become soldiers of enthusiasm. The main character Paul Braumer fights against the principles of hate in order to come out of the war alive. All in all i think that this book will be a good read, and i have heard good things about it
