all quiet on the western front (blog 3)
In this second chapter the main character Paul starts to think about how, horrible war really is. One of Paul's comrades Kimmerick is on the verge of death, and Paul tries to get a doctor for him. But when he arrives Kimmerick has already passed and been moved, so his bed is taken by another soldier. I think this is important to Paul because Kimmerick is a good example for paul to understand what is going on. Paul realizes how many deaths happen everyday during war, and his emotionally scarred. He also briefly talks about how young men that go through this, will remember how awful it is through out there life. As oppose to someone older who will not have to remember those awful things that went on, as long as a younger soldier.
